Dan Henderer has done a couple of projects for us so far, including a kitchen redo, and we can’t imagine using anyone else. Dan is a true craftsman, very skilled, conscientious, and careful in his work. The products of his work are always first rate, partly because of how skillful he is, but also because of how much he cares about the quality of what he does. Absolutely the best, and we couldn’t be happier. Beyond that, Dan has to be about the easiest person to work with that we could imagine. His manner is unfailingly easygoing, pleasant, and cheerful. Nothing seems to ruffle his feathers. The combination of having top-notch dedication to quality and being a true pleasure to know and work with is pretty darned hard to beat in a contractor. We’re looking into some additional projects right now, and the only person we’re talking to is Dan. No need to look anywhere else.

Dan led his team of craftspeople to complete our home remodel on-time and on-budget (inclusive of kitchen and main living space re-configuration, removal of walls, new floors, new windows/exterior siding/electrical). This was a large project and we felt taken care of and informed every step of the way. Dan was organized, thoughtful, kind, calm, creative, attentive to details, attentive to our opinions, and really overall a pleasure to work with. The quality of Dan’s personal work and that of his team exceeded our expectations and we feel honored to have their hard work and skill displayed in our home. I would highly him to anyone looking to do a remodel or building project – large or small – you will notice right away the level of quality and care that he puts into his projects.

We hired Dan to remodel our 1959 bathroom and bring it into the 21st century. At the same time, he replaced several of our windows and updated moldings and heaters. We had lots of ideas about what we wanted, and Dan used his expertise to help us come up with a workable plan that addressed all of our needs. He led a team of outstanding subcontractors and systematically worked through demolition to the completed project and did it right on time. Dan paid close attention and made sure each step was properly completed. He was conscientious in keeping the work site clean and scheduling subs so that things happened on time. He is great at communicating so we always knew what was going on. There was never any drama or excuses, in fact we were sad to see him finish because we enjoyed working with him so much. He has very high standards and the quality of his work is outstanding. We can’t wait to hire him again for our next project!

We hired Dan to remodel our main bathroom and 1/2 bath. We were very pleased. He far surpassed our expectations in terms of professionalism and quality. He presented a work-plan and timeframe and managed and completed it as anticipated…… no glitches!!!! It is very apparent that he is highly respected by the subcontractors; they frequently commented on how they liked working with him and demonstrated this by always showing up on time, doing quality work, and cleaning up. They also extended this respect to us as well. Dan’s engaging quiet manner and expectation of quality workmanship made him a perfect fit for remodel. We love our bathrooms! He would be our first choice for any future project.

We contracted with Dan Henderer with Placid Construction for both a kitchen remodel and a 900 square foot home addition.  Both projects were very pleasant experiences with excellent outcomes.  Dan is a master builder with excellence and quality foundational to all that he does.  We have full trust in his personal & business ethics due to his consistency in integrity throughout the year he has been working in and around our home.

He was exceptional at working with us to build our dream place, always seeing potential problems and approaching them with clarity and creativity.  He has a fabulous way of making everything seem easy and pleasant.  Never did he leave our site with a speck of dust or debris.  Dan never rushed through something just to get it done quick, and yet he was timely and stayed right on schedule to the end.  He is impeccable to his word.

Dan completed various construction projects on our 1921 home in August of 2017. I can’t speak highly enough of him and have recommended him to our friends. He has a high degree of skill and is meticulous in his work. He is courteous, timely, efficient, and accommodating. I loved coming home and seeing how he repaired and improved upon our home making exterior repairs to the siding, windows, deck railings, brackets, door, etc. Some of it was very tricky given the age of our home and he made it all seamlessly match. We can’t wait to have him start interior work for us. Dan’s cost was also very reasonable. He was also good at explaining things when I had questions.

We hired Dan to repair and update a full bath, half bath and office closet damaged from a water leak. He was very professional to work with, organized, attentive to details, timely, and enjoyable to work with. He stuck to his timeline and to his bid. We are very pleased with the results, and we will definitely hire him again for any future projects.

Dan Henderer did an excellent job of replacing a failing, leaky sunroom glass cover with a much better roof and walls. Dan met his schedule and budget projections and made me feel like I had a very capable and professional person doing the work. I will not hesitate to call on him in the future for any major repairs or upgrades to our house. The work was performed in the fall of 2017.

We are very fortunate to have the quality of workmanship and personal presentation that Dan and his subcontractors bring to Corvallis. It was clear from the beginning that Dan listens and works to understand the desires and needs of the owner. He then proceeds to accomplish the work in a timely, cost effective, and flexible manner.
